Privacy policy

This explains what customtradingplatform.com collects, why, where it goes and what you can ask us to do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Last updated 17 September 2026

What we collect

  • When you create a free account: your email address and first name, the page you signed up from, and a random visitor ID stored in your browser. This creates an account record with our authentication provider.
  • When you use the contact form: your name, email address and message.
  • When you browse: the pages you view, the page that referred you and the random visitor ID, so we can see which pages are useful. If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics also records usage with IP addresses anonymised.
  • For security: IP address and browser user agent, used to limit abuse such as repeated sign-up attempts.

We do not ask for payment details, identity documents or information about your finances, and the calculators run in your browser without sending the numbers you type to us.

Why we collect it

  • To create your account and send you the email that confirms it.
  • To reply when you contact us.
  • To understand which pages and tools are used, so we can improve them.
  • To keep the site secure and stop abuse.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

Where it is stored and who processes it

Account and form data is stored with Supabase in Sydney, Australia. The site is hosted by Vercel, account emails are sent through Resend, and analytics is provided by Google. Vercel, Resend and Google may process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We use these providers only to run the site.

Cookies and browser storage

The site stores a random visitor ID and your first name for the current visit in your browser's local and session storage. Google Analytics, when enabled, sets its own cookies. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept while your account exists. Contact messages and usage records are kept for as long as they are useful for running the site, and no longer than two years.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have your account deleted, using the contact form. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handled your information, tell us through the contact form first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date.
